On the glitziest night of the year, those celebrities who do deign to eat will sip shots of carrot orange gazpacho and nibble on crispy lobster dumplings and popcorn-topped panna cotta.

85th Academy Awards Governors Ball

Those are among some of the 50 dishes that will be on offer at the Oscar night from the chef known as the caterer to the stars, Wolfgang Puck.

This year’s menu includes crispy lobster shrimp dumplings with five spice, bite-sized fried chicken with white grits and mini American Wagyu burgers.

For the legions of celebrities like Anne Hathaway, Ellen DeGeneres, Jared Leto, Brad Pitt and Natalie Portman who shun all animal products, Puck has also created vegan dishes like carrot orange gazpacho shots, taro root tacos with avocado, and butternut squash with farro and wild rice.

A cake will also be prepared to honor Puck’s 20th consecutive year of catering the Governors Ball. The Academy Awards is scheduled for Sunday, March 2 and will be televised in more than 225 countries worldwide.
