Famous Spanish interior designer and architect Patricia Urquiola has created a contemporary new seat for luxury outdoor furniture company Kettal.
“Roll” is a witty take on the standard chair, featuring an upholstery that transforms a regular backrest into two independent “wraps,” or bolster cushions, connected by colorful straps.
The chair features a graphical aluminum frame, while the straps are connected to the main structure by two pins. The pins can easily be removed and the seat cushion is supported by a semi-transparent micro fabric.
The chair is available in vibrant striking colorways, including combinations of indigo and green hues.
Roll will be available from September 2014, with prices starting at €1,650.
