Cristiano Ronaldo – the man who brought you such comments as “The possibilities of me going to Real Madrid are great,†and “I’ve said a million times that I’d love to play in Spain†– has celebrated his decision to stay at Manchester United by splashing out on a £350,000 ($700,000) Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe.
The Portuguese midfielder bought the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe from Doncaster-based luxury car dealer Liquid 45. He gave instructions for it to be “fully loaded,†a trade term for all the added extras.
Cristiano, 23, also owns an Aston Martin, a BMW 6 Series, a Bentley Continental and a Ferrari. As a matter of fact, the Phantom will replace his £140,000 Bentley Continental.
It’s also believed Ronaldo was so impressed with the Bugatti Veyron he raced in a Nike commercial he put his name down on the waiting list for the £830,000 ($1.66M) hypercar (check out our “video of the week†on the right side)
No worries, The Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe’s £350,000 pricetag ($700,000) wouldn’t have deterred the the 23-year-old player star who is thought to earn around £130,000 per week ($260,000).
Ronaldo’s latest extravagance is likely to intensify the car park war going on at Manchester United where multi-millionaire footballers such as Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney are continuously trying to outdo each other with their choice of motor. Via Autotrader
