You Are Beautiful
Matthew Hoffman’s project turns 10
A simple act of validation ten years ago turned into something much more. Chicago artist Matthew Hoffman printed and distributed stickers reading ‘You Are Beautiful’ to colleagues and friends who appreciated the affirmation and validation, and began to request for more stickers to be printed. This spawned the movement You Are Beautiful which spread beyond stickers to street art as well. Public art installations appeared on sidewalks and walls of Chicago. To celebrate ten years of positivity and hope, Hoffman is hoping to document the project in book form.
