The Anatomy of a Suit
The exhibition “The Anatomy of a Suit” showcases and examines the history and changes in the suit
The Anatomy of a Suit is currently being held at the Museum of London from now to the 1st of June 2014. The exhibition showcases and examines the history and changes in technique in the construction of the suit as it have developed throughout the years. From the technical changes to the collars and cuffs to explaining why these changes were made, the audience will be exposed to the anatomy of how the suit, being the go to garment for most men has evolved over time.
The man who put together this exhibition, Timothy Long, scoured the menswear gems at markets like Brick Lane, Borough and Portobello. The exhibition shows the deconstruction of each of these garments and displays the inner workings to the public, making it interesting for not only men but anyone to view.
