Internationally renowned, the worldā€™s most successful contemporary artist Damien Hirst needs no introduction in the world of Art. While death is a central theme in his works, Hirst is famous for his morbid and controversial art pieces. Hirst has had countless auctions, shows and exhibitions all over the world but his latest one, ā€˜Relicsā€™, is his largest solo exhibition in the Middle East in Doha.

As part of the Qatar UK 2013 Year of Culture, the exhibition is one of the major cultural events aimed to promote and encourage the participation and understanding of art within the community, that is initiated by QMA. The exhibition holds a total of 93 pieces, including both iconic and previously unseen artworks, making it the largest display of Hirstā€™s work to date.

Some of the key iconic pieces at the exhibition include a selection of works from his ā€˜Natural Historyā€™ series of animals preserved in formaldehyde, Spin and Spot paintings, Medicine Cabinets, butterfly works and Hirstā€™s diamond encrusted skulls.
