The Push Button House from architect/artist Adam Kalkin was originally displayed at Art Basel Miami in 2005.

The Push Button House is exactly that: it starts as a shipping container until a button is pushed, and it turns into a house.

Motorized walls unfold like a flower, revealing a fully functional house, complete with refined, understated furnishings

Kalkin’s concept uses hydraulic power to lift and lower the sides of the shipping container.

The home was created from recycled and recyclable materials and is the physical representation of illy’s dedication to sustainability, art and innovation.

Priced between US $150,000 and $175,000.
