Artist Jeremy Miranda explores the blending of landscapes in our memories

Artist Jeremy Miranda’s fascination lies with how the mind creates memories, and the juxtaposition of experiences both real and perceived. In his latest series of oil paintings , Miranda overlaps interior and exterior environments, usually a natural environment against a man-made one For example, he paints his studio dissolving into a river landscape, a bookshelf next to the sea, or a glowing furnace under a quiet pond. In merging these two disparate settings, he builds a new landscape that is surreal, mimicking that of a dreamscape or memory.
