Cupidiculous
A humourous motion graphic project telling an alternate story of creation and its critical results
One of June 2014’s Vimeo staff picks, Cupidiculous is an enjoyable short by School of Visual Art student Panop Koonwat. The video, with its heightened colours and sounds, are a treat for the senses. It is a motion graphic project fusing 2D cel-animation and 3D techniques together, leading to a wonderfully whimsical final product. It tells an alternate, humorous story of creation beginning with Adam and Eve being struck by Cupid’s arrow and falling in love, and ending in overpopulation, overconsumption and global warming.
