Sweden Absolut Art Collection is displayed for the first time in Korea at Gallery Yeh, Garosugil, Sinsa-dong from 12 to 25 April, 2011.
The vodka brand’s Art Collection, a series of interpretations of the Absolut bottle, has been growing since the 80s and feature works by artists including Damien Hirst, Louise Bourgeois and Francesco Clemente.
The Absolut Art Collection has a portfolio of over 800 original collaborations, the first of which was commissioned from Warhol (above) in 1985.
While several major installations are displayed across the world – mainly in New York and Paris, this is the first time the art collection will be seen in Asia.
The visitors can also enjoy the variety of arts in collaboration with Korean sound artist ZUUi, installation artist Byun Dae-Yong and video artist Sakayo at the exhibition.
The exhibition is free to attend – galleryyeh.co.kr
Gallery Yeh – Garosugil 532-9 Sinsadong Gangnam-gu – Seoul 02-542-5543
The Absolut collection will remain in Seoul until April 25th, when it will then head to China, settling in Beijing in May and Shanghai in July.
