Ferretti Yachts will stage the debut of its new 500, the brand’s new entry model, at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival (Sep 8-13). Following the world premiere of the Ferretti Yachts 720 at Cannes last September, the 500 will become the eighth and smallest model in the Italian builder’s range.

Ferretti Group has said the 50ft 4in (15.3m) motor yacht is the start of a new era for the brand that will also include a new flagship Ferretti Yachts 1000. The new range will showcase a new design language that reflects the builder’s Just Like Home philosophy, starting with the 500 before it “sweeps through the entire range, including the new flagship”, according to Ferretti Yachts.

Working with the Ferretti Group’s Strategic Product Committee and Engineering Department, architect Filippo Salvetti designed the exterior of both projects, while design studio IdeaeItalia is behind the new interior concepts.

The interiors of the new Ferretti Yachts models will be represented by two different moods, “both designed to suit the tastes of international customers”. A classic line features warmer, more enveloping tones, while a contemporary theme features intense tones.

The 500 offers two lower-deck layouts, the first featuring a spacious master cabin and a VIP cabin, both with their own bathrooms, in addition to a small laundry area. The second layout includes a master cabin, VIP cabin, a twin and two bathrooms.
