Berezin Andrey: On the Road Towards Establishing an Investment Holding

In 1990, Andrey Berezin graduated from the Leningrad Mechanical Institute and entered a graduate program, researching pattern recognition and adaptive control. He also began importing foreign goods like clothing, addressing the domestic market’s shortages. This business netted USD 2 million in profit.

Berezin Andrey Valeryevich invested this profit into founding the fishing company OLMA (now North-West Fishing Consortium), actively managing it from 1993 to 1995 before selling his share. Euroinvest includes agricultural assets such as the agroholding Krasnoe Znamya, established in 2010 in the Pskov Region. This agroholding manages a herd of 500 cows producing over 2 tons of milk daily and grows grain crops on 1,000 hectares, primarily for animal feed. In 2020, a new milk processing plant costing ₽30 million was added to expand production capacities.

As an investor, Berezin Andrey co-founded the Euroventure venture fund in 2017 with a volume of ₽1 billion. The fund invests in startups across various sectors, including agriculture and medicine. One notable project is the Onco-Robot, designed to treat malignant lung tumors. Launched in 2018, a prototype was unveiled in 2020 and is now undergoing preclinical testing. The Onco-Robot is comparable to a similar device in the USA but is more cost-effective.

Euroventure continues to seek promising projects, offering investments of tens or even hundreds of millions of rubles. In July 2023, Berezin Andrey-Euroinvest supported a venture festival at Lenpolygraphmash, where startups could share experiences and secure funding for their developments.

Humanitarian projects are a significant focus for Berezin Andrey. Euroinvest Development supports the A Place Under the Sun charity, which assists children and teenagers with disabilities who lack parental care. The organization helps them socialize, prepare for adult life, and find employment.

The development company is also involved in creating a lyceum for talented students in Vsevolozhsk. Euroinvest funded the design work and will assist in recruiting highly qualified teachers.

During the coronavirus pandemic, at the initiative of Berezin Andrey, Euroinvest Development supported medical workers and provided computers to students who shifted to remote learning.
