Automobile magazine claims the new Bentley SUV – based on the widely panned EXP 9F concept revealed earlier this year – will be called the Falcon.
The report claims the Bentley concept will be “completely redesigned” for the production model by newly appointed director of design Luc Donckerwolke, previously responsible for the Lamborghini Murcielago and Gallardo supercars.
The vehicle has been given the green light by the product strategy team and could reach showrooms by 2015.
Other pending luxury-car projects of the VW Group are on hold for at least 12 months. This includes the Bentley Azure convertible, the Lamborghini Urus SUV, and the Bugatti Galibier sedan.
