Next year marks the 100th anniversary of Aston Martin, and the company plans to celebrate by launching some sort of special-edition centenary car.
The unique car should be a version of the current DBS coupe (pictured) with its 5.9-liter V-12 engine pumped up to 550 hp, compared to 510 hp in the standard model.
“This will be an entirely new model,” Aston Martin CEO Dr. Ulrich Bez said. “We have to do something remarkable to mark our centenary. It won’t be a DB9 with a Centenary Edition badge and it won’t be a limited edition like the One-77 supercar.”
The firm’s head of design, Marek Reichmann is currently putting the final touches to this Centenary model, which will be unveiled this summer.
