Porsche has released the first details about the 911 Speedster ahead of the Paris Motor Show.
It pays homage to the 356 Speedster, the first model to use this name and will have a production limited to 356 units.
Designed to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Porsche Exclusive, the convertible features an aerodynamic body kit, black accents, and tinted headlights.
The interior uses a black leather finish and comes with exclusive details, such as decorative designs with checkerboard patterns for the seat center section, as well as special leather side bolsters.
The car is dressed in an exclusive color called “Pure Blueâ€and features contrasting elements such as tinted front lights, black headlight rings, black windscreen contour and others. Customers can also order it in Carrera White.
The 2011 Porsche 911 Speedster is powered by the latest version of its 3.8-liter flat-6 cylinder engine.
As recently confirmed for the 911 Carrera GTS, it delivers 402 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque.
The only gearbox available is a seven-speed PDK double-clutch gearbox with a locking rear differential.
The 911 Speedster can be yours starting from EUR201,682 ($263,667). The car will be launched in December
