Porsche has confirmed that it is to debut the most powerful road-going sports car in the brand’s history at the Moscow Auto Show later this year.
The Porsche 911 GT2 RS marks the summit of the 911 range, said the top-end automaker, delivering a 0 – 100 km/h performance of just 3.5 seconds.
Despite a top speed of 205 mph, the six-cylinder, 620 hp engine is some five percent more fuel efficient than its predecessor, managing 11.9 l/100 km and emissions of 284 g/km.
To distinguish it from the GT2, the GT2 RS is finished in matte black, with flared wheel arches and a higher rear spoiler lip to improve traction.
Porsche says that the GT2 RS can complete a lap of the legendary NĆĀ¼rburgring circuit in seven minutes 18 seconds, some 16 seconds faster than the Porsche GT2.
Only 500 of the models will be made, retailing from ĆĀ£164,107 (Ć¢āĀ¬190,908).
