Porsche launches new multisensory pop-up in NYC
Porsche has officially unveileid a three-week multi sensory pop up shop in Manhattan, New York.
The luxury German auto maker has officially unveileid a three-week multi sensory pop up shop in Manhattan, New York.
“The Sound Of Porsche: Stories of the Brand” is based on the concept of a modernized record store in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District, with the aim of providing an ‘interactive multisensory brand experience’.
The store comprises three different areas. First up is “The Sound Lab Virtual Drive Experience powered by Bose”, featuring the brand’s iconic Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Coupe. Visitors experience the car through sound and visual mapping, and through selected tracks from the brand’s history, such as “From Draft to Drift – The Porsche 911”.

“The Media Station” introduces guests to a custom record and film playlist created by Porsche. Highlights include ‘Electrifying Performance’ and ‘One of Us’ which feature Porsche racecar drivers Mark Webber and Patrick Dempsey.
Lastly, “The Design Corner” allows visitors to draw what the sound of Porsche means to them, then upload their designs to social media via the hashtag #soundofporsche. The designs are then featured in the space.
The Sound of Porsche will be open to the public through October 5, before moving to London and Shanghai.
