Cannes Yachting Festival: 2014 guide
Cannes Yachting Festival 2014. Europe’s leading in-water boat show is taking place between 9 – 14 September 2014 on the glittering Bay of Cannes.
Once again this year, the world’s latest and most exceptional seafaring vessels will be on display at the Cannes Yachting Festival, which takes place from September 9 to 14 in the French port city.
For luxury boating enthusiasts, it’s an event not to be missed. Here’s why.
World premieres galore
At the festival, visitors will get an up-close look at ships that have never before been presented to the public.
Among the 150 new models set to make their debut are the Benetti Tradition Supreme 108 (a hybrid diesel-electric model), the 58 HT Chaseboat by Otam (the brand celebrates its 60th anniversary this year), the Riva Mythos 133, the Lagoon 630 Motor Yacht (the first motor yacht from the French manufacturer), and the Beneteau Oceanis 60.
550 new boats on display
The Yachting Festival, which marks the start of the fall boat show season, gives boat lovers a chance to see some 550 brand new models and around 50 used ones, all of which will of course be available for test driving and for purchase.
Between sailboats and motorboats, mono-hulls and multi-hulls, there will be something for all tastes and (almost) all budgets.
New this year: a Shopping Village
Yachting enthusiasts are known for their appreciation of all things high-end. So it is fitting that the Palais des Festivals is also hosting a Shopping Village this year to showcase the collections of several luxury brands not necessarily specialized in nautical gear and attire.
The Cannes Yachting Festival takes place from September 9 to 14 at the Vieux Port and Port Pierre Canto in the French city.
