Koenigsegg One:1 hypercar revealed
The supercar to hypercar step has been taken further with Sweden’s Koenigsegg now claiming to produce world’s first megacar.
The new Koenigsegg Agera One:1 has been revealed. It’s set to become the world’s most powerful production car and it’s been shown for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show.
The Swedish hypercar will be able to achieve a top speed of 280mph (450.62km/h) and produce an astonishing 1322bhp.
The Agera One:1 gets its interesting name from its one-to-one power to weight ratio — 1340PS (1000kW) against the car’s weight of 1340 kilograms.
That ratio has been achieved with prodigious use of carbon fiber to increase rigidity and cut weight and a whopping great twin-turbo 5-litre V8 engine.
Currently, the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport officially holds the title of world’s fastest production car. It can hit 269.86 mph (434.30km/h).
Just six Koenigsegg One:1 cars will be built, and there’s no word on price yet – but don’t expect it to be cheap.
