New hybrid supercar, the Icona Vulcano, will be unveiled at 2013 Shanghai Motor Show. It promises to deliver over 900 hp, a top speed of 350km/h and acceleration from 0 to 200km/h in under 10 sec.

The man behind this ambitious project is engineer Claudio Lombardi who is known in sporting circles for designing the engines that helped the Lancia team at the World Rally Championships until 1991. He was also the F1 technical director at Ferrari until 2000.

The Icona Vulcano follows the current trend for ultra powerful hybrid supercars. At the Geneva Motor Show, all eyes were on the LaFerrari and the McLaren P1 which deliver 963hp and 915hp respectively.
