Queen’s 3D Swarovski glasses for Christmas speech
Her Majesty the Queen has been photographed wearing a pair of swarovski crystal-studded 3D glasses to review her Christmas TV message.
Queen Elizabeth capped off a remarkable year — that included her Diamond Jubilee and the London Olympics — with a high-tech Christmas message to the nation.
To watch a preview, the Queen wore her own pair of customised 3D glasses, decorated on each side with the letter Q made from Swarovski crystals.
Her use of 3D technology comes 80 years after George V first broadcast a Christmas speech on the radio and started the 25 December tradition.
It is not the first time the Queen has worn 3D glasses. In fact, the pictured pair were first seen when she went to a movie training centre in Toronto, Canada, in 2010.
