Saint Laurent has unveiled a new collection of vermeil jewelry with campaign images featuring former Girls singer Christopher Owens.
The brand is calling it a “modernist collection of couture” jewelry. Part of the famous Parisian design house’s heritage, the vermeil collection is composed of sterling silver covered with 18K gold.
The new items will be available in Saint Laurent stores at the end of January 2013 and for pre-order on YSL.com. Rings start at $300, while the Deux Clous necklace in silver and gold will set you back $1,990.
The jewelry appears in both Men’s and Women’s sections, but in typical Slimane style, it’s an androgynous affair, just like the Saint Laurent Menswear campaign images modelled by Saskia de Brauw.
The collection images were shot by Slimane himself, and modelled by his friend and muse, the musician Christopher Owens.
