Whisky distillery Glenfiddich is taking things to new heights with a whisky tasting that will be livestreamed from the world’s highest mountain.
At 5,364 meters above sea level at the Everest Base Camp, a team of adventurists will ‘nose’ and taste a selection of Glenfiddich’s single malt reserves along with a panel of guests who will take part virtually from The London Stock Exchange.
The fundraising event, in partnership with Walking With the Wounded Everest 2012 Expedition, aims to put five wounded servicemen at the top of the mountain who will be accompanied by whisky experts and adventurists.
The 45-minute event will be live-streamed on May 10, at 7 pm BST (6 pm GMT), at Telegraph.co.uk, Absolute Radio, and the Glenfiddich website.
Viewers will also get an intro to whisky tasting and be able to ask questions via Twitter using the hashtag #WWTWLive.
