Visitors to next month’s London Boat Show are set to step into a new world of luxury, with organizers opting to showcase products and services for big-money buyers alongside the boats, even as the global economy continues to shake.
The show will be complemented by a new Luxury Lifestyle & Supercar Showcase aimed at capitalizing on the event’s wealthy audience.
The ‘show within a show’ will feature 50 new brands, including names such as a diamond investment company Elite Gems, designer sunglasses maker Robert Roope, Wayne Pollock bespoke holidays and contemporary fine art by Gallery Rouge.
It’s yet another example of the attempts the Tullett Prebon London Boat Show has made to broaden its appeal in recent years.
Tthe event is already colocated with The Outdoors Show, the Active Travel Show and the London Bike Show.
The majority of the expected names will be in attendance — Sunseeker with its new 28M, plus Fairline, Brunswick, Ventura, Bates Wharf, Rodman and Princess.
Beneteau won’t be in attendance, preferring instead to focus its efforts on competing shows such as this month’s Nautic Paris, the larger Düsseldorf show at the end of January and September’s outdoor show in Southampton, in the UK.
For those in the market, the used boat marina will return to cater for secondhand buyers.
The London Boat Show opens January 6 and runs through January 15 in London, with adult tickets available from £16 (€19).
