Binance Charity Foundation Supports the inaugural Jim Thompson Elephant NFTs in Celebration of World Elephant Day on August 12
Binance Charity is revolutionising the way social causes can be supported through the use of blockchain technology.
In celebration of World Elephant Day (August 12), Binance Charity is supporting the thoughtful partnership between Binance NFT, Jim Thompson and NFKings.
As part of the new Binance Charity initiative called, “NFT For Good”, which was first launched in June, the campaign aims to transform creativity into meaningful action for social and environmental causes. This underscores the overall aim of the non-profit organisation’s mission of accelerating global sustainable development through the use of blockchain technology. To date, Binance Charity has supported over one million end beneficiaries through various projects.
Recently, NFTs have become a hot topic among society and its potential for good is something Binance Charity wants to explore further. Not only will it celebrate the ingenious minds of the NFT creators but also the possibility of supporting a wide range of causes of concern.
For this year’s World Elephant Day, Binance NFT has stated that 60,600 “Mystery Boxes” will go on sale. Each box costs US$20 and will be held on Binance NFT Marketplace, with a percentage of the proceeds going to the “Save the Elephant Foundation” in Thailand.
Helen Hai, Head of Binance Charity and Binance NFT comments, “This NFT art is befitting of the beauty of elephants and a powerful way to raise awareness and help the plight of these iconic creatures. We are always happy to show our support to campaigns such as this, which fuse innovation and creativity with the digital world to drive real world impact. It is another great example of how we can harness the potential of NFTs for good.”
Purchase of the “Mystery Box” will entitle the buyer rewards depending on the rarity of the NFT elephants they get. The collectibles are categorised as such: Normal, Rare, Super Rare and Super Super Rare. Prizes include vouchers, private dinners on the Chao Phraya River, a two-night stay at the Jim Thompson suite in the Mandarain Oriental Hotel and an opportunity to name a rescue elephant.
Also supporting this NFT sale is Heart Media Group which owns and operates across Asia various lifestyle media such as LUXUO, L’OFFICIEL, YACHT STYLE, PALACE, MEN’S FOLIO, ART REPUBLIK and WOW.
