With a line-up which already claims the title of ‘ultimate’ and most ‘iconic’, one can’t help but question: What more can the Ducati Monster do? Unveiling its lightest and most compact version yet, the all-new 2021 Ducati Monster swaps out its predecessors famed 821cc engine for a larger, higher-output Testastretta 11-degree 937cc twin-cylinder that makes 111 hp at 9,250 RPM and a maximum 68.7 pound-feet of torque. Serving unparalleled revs at a significantly lower range, this new and improved superbike cuts weight from every element, including in the rims, swingarm, and subframe.

Shaving off approximately 40 pounds, the outgoing model maintains its distinguished Monster features with a “bison back-“shaped fuel tank, “shoulder-embedded” round headlight, and clean tail, with added adjustable ABS, traction control and wheelie control alongside launch control settings which keep the wheels from exploding off the pavement.

Complete with three riding modes and three colourways with varying price points, the all-new Ducati Monster facilitates Sport, Urban, Touring capabilities with a 4.3-inch colour TFT dashboard, Panigale V4-inspired racing graphics, and an oversized rev counter. Available in Classic Ducati Red with black wheels for $11,895, Dark Stealth with black wheels, and Aviator Gray with GP Red wheels for $12,095 – the outgoing model which will launch by end of April 2021, includes an optional minor “Plus” package encompassing a windshield and passenger seat that adds anywhere between $200 and $300, depending on the chosen colour.
