Owned by local hospitality firm, Bridgeton Holdings, the Walker Hotel seamlessly blends renaissance with contemporary New York. Located along 77 Walker Street, the hotel spans across three street frontages in downtown Manhattan. It’s geographical position is a stone’s throw away from iconic neighborhoods such as Tribeca, Five Points, Soho and Chinatown. While the street remains largely unchanged since its construction, the area is flourishing with burgeoning art scenes, an array of renowned restaurants, exhilarating nightlife, luxury shopping and scenic outdoor spaces amidst cobblestone streets and charismatic architecture.

Inside, guests of the Walker Hotel are encouraged to select between a social check-in experience at the Walker Lobby and a traditional check-in desk – down half a flight of stairs to a mullioned Mahogany alcove where enquirers can receive the staff’s undivided attention before being whisked away to their rooms through private elevators.

The Walker Lobby, awaits guests on the other end of an upstairs sequoia brown-brushed marble alter. Doubling up as a 50-seat bar and lounge, the lobby features a matching marble fireplace and dual rosewood Borsani shelving. Mid-century seating in the form of Pierre Jeanneret loungers, Mogensen sofas, and Philippe Bestenheider Lui 5 armchairs – upholstered in Schumacher velvets, ikats and linens, which are the cozy yet prestigious Walker Lobby’s finishing touches.

For the folks who’d rather not drink, the lobby also offers a more intimate space. Its 24-seat Reading Room is fully furnished with a Han Wegnar sofa, two Milo Baughman mohair club chairs and a custom Patterson Flynn Martin rug.

The hotel houses over 171 guest rooms across seven distinct categories. Each room shares a uniformed luxuriously-smart theme, incorporating tobacco leather professor chairs, herringbone wood flooring and beds lined with Garnier-Thiebaut percale linen. The bathrooms are equally posh, each with Carrara marble subway tiles and walk-in rain showers.

Thoroughly victualled, the hotel premises includes a total of six diverse food and beverage joints. Among other things, it features a rooftop terrace overlooking the ever-changing skyline and a full service vegetable-forward restaurant designed in collaboration with Craig Shillito of Cycle Projects – a New York based design and architectural firm specializing in construction and renovation for residential spaces and hospitality projects.

Tribeca Walker Hotel prides itself in being inspired by yesterday, designed for today and poised for tomorrow. Its goals include formulating a creative and immersive experience for all guests, shaped by New York’s richly eclectic history and community. Though the hotel is open for business, further developments are in the works and guests can look forward to an underground subterranean cocktail bar sometime in the near future.
