While Scandinavian style made wood and pastel shades mainstays of interior design, the trend for materials like velvet, copper and brass heralds a new set of must-haves for the home, bringing a 1930s vibe to interiors and outdoor spaces.
FT33 Sun lounger
Designed by a French designer, who is also a painter, essayist and literary critic, the FT33 lounge chair is designed for outdoor use. The Versant Edition is a young design firm who is reissuing this chair, which sometimes still crops up in the galleries or auction houses. Guided by the principles: explore the relationships between objects, architecture and images, the bespoke furniture pieces are inspired by the mountain range and its summits in France. Sommet Mirror
Another interesting design from the Versant Edition collection is the stylish Sommet Mirror by Daphne Desjeux and Dortothee Delave. Inspired by the Art Deco style, the mirrors are available in two sizes: 90 cm and 125 cm, framed in glossy, polished brass. Also, the two designers combined three shades of mirror (natural, gray and salmon) and complete with beech back. (Price: €1,750)
