Pierre Hermé: Surprise your loved one with macarons for Valentine’s Day
French chef Pierre Hermé, also known as a Macaron king, will be making a grand American debut via Delta Air Lines to bring his world-famous macarons stateside in time for Valentine’s Day. Guest travelling towards the John F. Kennedy International Airport Terminal 4 or making a transit there will be able to purchase the Pierre Hermé macarons using their miles or credit card.
Flavours include chocolate, salted caramel, hazelnut praline, milk chocolate and passion fruit and his signature Ispahan, with rose, litchi and raspberry.
In 2016, Hermé was named the world’s best pastry chef by organisers of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. With boutiques across Europe, Asia and the Middle East (though with no official shop in the US), his arrival will compete against Ladurée, which has launched an aggressive expansion campaign across the US and Canada in recent years.
