Chanel “Gabrielle” bag campaign will feature four famous brand ambassadors
The new bag campaign by Chanel is set to feature four stars, who have made waves in the fashion industry and have appeared in previous campaigns by the brand
This week Chanel announced a star-studded cast for its upcoming ad for the “Gabrielle” bag, with four heavyweight names from the world of fashion, including brand ambassadors and stars close to the brand. The campaign will be officially unveiled April 3, 2017.
Three big-name Chanel brand ambassadors — Kristen Stewart, Caroline de Maigret and Pharrell Williams — will be joined by Cara Delevingne in the upcoming campaign, designed once again by Karl Lagerfeld, the fashion house’s creative director.
The four names have been carefully selected for their distinct personalities, reflecting the versatility of the “Gabrielle” bag — named after the legendary fashion designer and label founder, Gabrielle Chanel — as an accessory that suits all moods and situations.
Revealed for the first time at Chanel’s spring/summer 2017 fashion show in Paris last October, the “Gabrielle” bag is a stylish creation. Its supple lightweight body is fitted on a rigid, thermoformed base to strengthen and stabilize the design. Available in several colors, including black and white, it has an adjustable cross-body strap featuring two chains of braided leather and gold and silver metal. It can be worn on the shoulder, across the body, or both at the same time.
Kristen Stewart has starred in fashion and beauty campaigns for the French fashion house for several years. Pharrell Williams teamed with the brand on the short film for Chanel’s Paris-Salzburg collection in 2014, along with Cara Delevingne, a friend of the label, and Karl Lagerfeld. Caroline de Maigret is a Chanel brand ambassador, producer and model who recently launched a lifestyle platform, CdMdiary by Caroline de Maigret, in partnership with Chanel.
