Drawings by Langley Fox
Artist plays by her own terms when making it in fashion and art
Brooklyn-based artist and illustrator Langley Fox comes from a line of talented artist. The 24-year old freelance artist is the great-granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway, and daughter of actress Mariel Hemingway. However, Fox wants to make it in fashion and art–without people knowing her as a Hemingway. With her incredible drawing skills, she creates beautiful illustrations of female figures and portraits in a style that is both classic and contemporary. She uses graphite, ink, and watercolor in her series of illustrations. Provocative and edgy, she definitely plays by her own rules when it comes to fashion and creating art. Fox studied at Parson College of Art and Design and Otis College of Art and Design. She also works with high-profile clients- namely Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton.
