Gravity by Tomas Januska
Photographer explores the art of suspension in his graduating piece
For his University graduating piece, photographer Tomas Januska captures the ‘temporary state of weightlessness’ we experience while jumping. In his series, titled Gravity, the photographer asked a mix of people unfamiliar with dance or sports to make between 150 to 600 jumps in front of his camera. Each individual displayed unique poses in their jumps, adding to an energetic, creative series. Not only a beautiful series in terms of result and execution, but a fun series to just see how humans can be captured in an unnatural state.
Tomas Januska is a Lithuania-born, London based photographer. You can check out more of this up-and-coming Artist’s work here!
