In her most recent installation, Japanese artist Naoko Tosa has projected the mapping installation, ‘Sound of Ikebana: Four Seasons’ onto the exterior of the Art Science Museum façade at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. Tosa’s use of high-speed photography showcases a series of videos depicting effervescent images of various liquids such as paints and oils that are created from sound vibrations. Inspired by Japan’s changing weather and seasons, the installation signify the changes of life, as well as the various stages accompanied by it, namely joy and sadness, growth, activity and vitality and lastly, tranquility.
