Donatella Versace, vice president of the Versace Group, appears in her first solo photo for Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci Fall / Winter 2015 collection.

The photos followed an April 29 tease that implied Mert & Marcus would be photographing Versace in a Carine Roitfeld-styled campaign.

The monochromatic image retains the same style used in Julia Roberts shoot for Tisci’s Spring 2015 Givenchy campaign.

Donatella took to the official Versace Instagram to explain why she posed for a competing brand’s advertisements. “I believe in breaking rules. Riccardo Tisci is extremely talented and above all my dear friend,” Donatella writes. “We are family. I want to get rid of the old system, work together, support each other and make fashion a true global community.”

NFL player and fashion darling Victor Cruz (pictured above) also makes an appearance in a striped suit and matching tie, as does Chinese pop singer Chris Lee in a short fur jacket, displaying a handbag (below).
